I have just purchased a 1995 Cadillac Deville Concours. The seats controls and power locks do not work. When checking the fuses, the big fuse for the seats/locks/trunk/fuel door was smoking hot. I removed it and proceded to check the wiring for obvious shorts. The trunk and fuel doors still work with the fuse removed as well as the lumbar relays still click when you use the joystick on the side of the seat, all of which should not work according to the fuse specs. If someone has encountered this problem before, please give me some advice. If not, a guide to remove the front seats would be helpful so I can at least manualy power the motors to adjust the seat in the place I want.

Look if the engine is doing what you say then it is overheating and there is no problem with the sensor, remember the sensor only tells what is going on, it does not cause anything like overheating. Have you bled the system of air, there is a factory procedure to do this.

u have to remove the panel that has the door handle in it, remove the panel which has the window and the seat adjusters, unplug the wires and just lift the door panel and there u are.

press and hold the off and red warmer button on your ac control panel / the display should then go into diagnostic mode.  all the trouble codes can be read out to help in tracing down the problem. you can also read out other info by pressing the temp up or down button when in diag. mode.   press the off button when your done.

make sure your key is clean try again, if not the system will tell you to wait 3 mins while key is in ignition this will reset the system and dash will tell you to start vehicle, you should be fine after that, common cause dirty key!!!!!!!!
