Sounds like you have a short, check around brake pedal for bare or loose wires on switch, also check rear of blazer, below bumper on the frame and check the ground wires, should be two

Are you sure the brake light (on the dash) is on because of the parking brake ?
Try this. Watch the brake light and at the same time set your parking brake. If the light seems to get slightly brighter then it isn't on due to the parking brake it is on for another reason.
If it does not get brighter then you need to look at the parking brake switch down by the parking brake as it may be grounded out causing the light to be on.
Be sure to check the brake fluid level. If it is low on brake fluid it will turn the light on also.
Try checking all your lighting grounds, there could be a short somewhere. I had the same problem. Turns out that one of my rear ground wires was deterriated. Let me know if this helps you
