Axles usually have a half moon pin at the rear of the axle shaft. They are hard to see. but you can see them and remove them through the rearend spider gear cover.

Can I remove the automatic gearbox from my corolla 4AGE 20v Blacktop to change the crankshaft seal without removing the engine Thank you in advance

Any thing is possible if you have enough jacks and supports. Depending on which side your trans is on, lift the car, remove wheel, remove Axle, make sure to drain fluid before removing axle, may have to loosen strut assembly to remove axle. Once that's out of the way, proceed to remove the trans linkage and all the bolts from the trans housing, once all the bolts are removed, with a trans jack under the trans, proceed to wiggle the trans until it's loose and pulled back and out. So I'm guessing that the shaft seal is the rear engine seal?

Why cant I get the rear rotor off my 2007 dodge 3500

Being a 3500, I'm guessing it's a dually? The axle MUST be removed to take the rotor off. Remove the 8 bolts on the axle flange, then carefully remove the axle. Behind where it was, you'll find a snap ring. Remove that and pull the key block out. Using a brass punch to knock it loose, unscrew and remove the spanner nut, then the outer wheel bearing. After you do all that, you can remove the rotor.

How to replace grease seal on rear axle

Leaking oil at the rear wheels can be one of two things, Easy fix is brake fluid, this would be the rear brake wheel cylinder leaking. Check your brake fluid tank under the hood for low fluid. If that is ok. Your leak may be your rear axle shaft seal. You need to remove the tire/wheel ether way. Jack up the car to pull the wheel, take your lugs loose while the tire is still on the ground, it is easy to take them loose this way. Take the EM: brake off, and jack up this side of the car. Your car could have disk or drums as both are offered on some Dodges. Once the tire is off you will see if you have disk or drums brakes. If drums you will need to pull the drum off at access the brake cylinder to see if that is leaking or not. If drums you have to back off the brake shoes by the adjusting wheel thru a small access window in the back plate. If you have disk brakes the caliper is right there and will be easy to see if it is leaking. If you have determined it is the rear axle seal leaking, this may be best done by a shop, due to needing a few special tools to remove the axle and then reinstall a seal. You will need a slide hammer. If drum brakes you will have to remove the brake backing plate, this means shoes and all hardware, please take pictures and get as good focus as you can to see how everything goes back together. Once down to the axle mounting, remove the 4 bolts and attach the slide hammer and pop out the axle, catch any fluid that will leak out, once out you can determine which type of seal set up you have as some have press fit collars that may have to be cut off. . Hope this helps FixYa up.

Rear Axle Shfat. How To?

C Clips you mean. there is a pin in the middle of the ring gear. this pin must be removed and then you push in on each axle, then the clip may fall out, or you will need to remove it from the end of the axle. then you can pull the axle out. You dont say "why" you are replacing it, replace the axle bearing and seal.

Procedure for changing bent r rear axle on 1997

if it has the four bolts that have a flange piece on it also then its just a unbolt and pull one.another sign of the unbolt/pull type is there is no removable cover on the back of the diff. i never undo nothing but the 4 bolts. i leave twn in but real loose so when i yank on the axle it wont break nothing when it cuts loose all of a sudden.

I AM TRYING TO PULL THE REAR END OUT OFF MY

You dont have to pull the whole rear end out. remove rear wheel and remove the brake drums. theres 4 nuts on the back side of the brake backing plate which holds the axles in. once you get the 4 nuts loose you can pull the axle out (might need some force to pull out). You should be able to take the differential cover out to inspect the gears.
