It may be a weak battery. The cranking power may be low. Have it checked at a local auto parts store for free. Also by a product called HEAT. It comes ion a yellow container and you pour it into you gas tank after you fill up. Also available at you local auto store. This will help remove any water in the gas and clean you fuel injectors and spark plugs from carbon buildup.

i just had the problem today, had to have it towed to the gm dealership to clear the security system and to install a new ignition cylinder. when the cadillac has low battery voltage or replacing the battery. the security system will shut everything down. it will lock your ignition and shut the fuel pump down.
ONLY GM dealerships can fix it!
cost me $720 to get everything fixed and cleared and towing
