Our 1995 Chevrolet Lumina 3.8L died out of gas last night - we put a little over a gallon back into it and it still won't start. Do we need to put more gas into it to start it or is it more likely now...

Running cars low or out of gas is a problem. The fuel pumps are in the tank and the fuel keeps them cool.
My first guess, since it was run out of gas, is the fuel pump is dead.
Listen for the pump to run when you first turn the key ON (not start, just ON to where the dash lights come on).
If you don't hear the pump then get to dropping the tank and changing it.

If you live in a cold climate your gas line may be frozen or you may have water in your gas adding gas line antifreeze may help.

1997 Stratus Won't Start

you probably ran it to low and sucked some trash out of the tank. try changing the fuel filter or put some gas in it because the little fuel you had in it probably evaporated over night.
