C.D. Changer Jammed

I have a 2004 Neon SXT that has a 6 disc cd changer. One night as I was driving home, I pushed the button to change cd's and it sounded like one of the cd's came loose and now the cd trays are jammed, and now the cd's that I have in there are stuck. I tried to look to see if I could get them out, but I was wondering what the best way to go about this would be. Any advice that I could get would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same car with the same problem. Only mine has done in twice before this. I took it back into the dealership to fix it when it was under warranty but not its not and i've been driving around for the past few months with no cd player AT ALL it's driving me nuts. Mine had like four cds in it and now it's only showing that i have one. I guess it ate the others. At one point i could give it a swift kick and it would straighten back out but now it just says error or ERR actually. If you every figure it out let me know. My ipod is becoming very inconvenient to drive with.

i have a 2004 dodge neon sxt.... and it has had the same problem twice. like the person before me i used to be able to just kick it and it would straighten itself out. However i had to have it replaced the first time when it was under warrenty. Unfortunatly now it is not under warrenty and they discontinued it so i cant even have it replaced. I called a place that installs cd players to see if they could just repair it. They said sure...for $450!!!... Im just gonna go buy an aftermarket cd player from best buy or somthing and have my brother install it for free.

I have had the same problem. I just hit in the middle of the CD player really hard and the CD will pop out..

It did mess my clock up for awhile but now it is back to normal????

Yank out that stock pos and take it apart to get your cd's then go to wal mart best buy car toys ect and get a BETTER one for around 50$ easy as heck to replace too

CD changer!! I have CD disc's in there and know it wont play them, its says disc error after awhile after I try to play all discs.

If one of the discs slipped off its tray and got jammed, you will have to take the cd changer out of the car and dislodge the jammed cd.
I had this happen a few years back and the guys at the auto parts store helped me remove it for free.

Cd changer in 2004 titan wont work

If it isn't a factory CD changer then I would re-check the wiring to the device and make sure there are no cuts or corrosion. Re-check that the ground wire has a good connection. It may be that the device has gone faulty.

6 disc cd changer jammed in 2004 mercury mountaineer, says error when i try to eject or play jammed discs.

personally I used another not so valuable CD to push the jammed CD back, it appears the ejected CD may bump the open exit gate and get stalled. It has happened several times. Good luck

I just bought a 2005 Dodge Neon with a 6 disc CD changer. The lights flash continuously. Maybe there is a disc stuck? what can I do to make the lights stop flashing?

is it flashing on the stereo or the changer it could be the anti theft system if it has one

We can't get the factory 6 disc cd player to load more than 1 disc. What is the sequence for loading additional discs?

The following is the owner's manual for your 2004 Dodge Neon:

P.99 describes how to load discs:

1. Select and press any numbered button without an illuminated light above it.
2. Insert the CD while the light above the chosen button is flashing and the two lights on either side of the slot are illuminated.
3. Upon insertion, the CD will begin to play, and both the button light and the lights in the corner of the loading slot will illuminate.
4. Repeat the process for loading any additional CDs. The CD playe rwill stop while additional CDs are loaded.

Playing Discs
The radio will show the CD number, the CD track number, and the Track Time Elapsed while the radio is in the CD mode. IF more than one CD is loaded in the changer, the changer will automatically play the next disc after playing the last track of the current disc.

I didn't know the 2004 Dodge Neon had such a nice changer.

6-disk cd changer in '03 silverado z71 is jammed

the radio is failed internally, you need a new radio - its possibly jambed and you can remove the top plate on the radio and remove the discs - but it might lock up again
