Question about Toyota Camry

2 Answers

Where should the chassis number be in my Camry 1992? The insurance company inspector cannot find it under the hood or at the lower left corner of the windshield. I'm worry something is wrong with my car. Any help to determine the exact location will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

It should be at the windshield, if its not, that car is big trouble. there should be a decal on the drivers door. The car may have another number somewhere on the chassis, a body shop or dealer may know where its stamped.

This is not good, if it's not in the windshield the chances are its a stolen car or one that should not be on the road. It is illegal to have a vehicle on the road without a VIN number.

Where is the chassis number of chassis

The VIN number is behind the windscreen on the lower left corner. Some also have it inside the glove box. American and Mexican made Hummers do not have a chassis number as such.

Where is the radio fuse on a 1995 camry? I do not see a fuse box under dash.

1.Answer It is a 15A fuse (#24), located in the instrument panel fuse box (behind the small fold out draw on lower the left side of dash board. Left of the steering wheel). It is the far right fuse on the middle row.

2. I had the same problem when my dome light went off. When I pulled its blown fuse, the radio went out. The radio fuse was fine, but when I replaced the dome light fuse, the radio came back on again. The dome light fuse is a 20A in the fuse box under the hood next to the battery.

3.there is on fuse in the back of the radio itself

Can a 2002 PT Cruiser with a 2.4 regular engine be replaced by a turbo of the same year?

No it cannot as the certificate of homoglonation which shows your chassis number will show it as a normal asperated engine and changing the engine will cointravine all the europeon laws regarding use and construction of a vehicle ,so when it goes for its yearly mechanical inspection it will fail the test as not conforming to the original specs ,unless youre cousin is the inspector of course but have a accident and the under writer looks at it then your insurance is invalid

Have a 2001 camry & the clock & lighter went out. Sounds like a fuse but I don't know where the fuse block is or what the fuse number is or if the problem is even related. ...

Here's a couple of lifts from the toyota forum:-

1) I think the coin box is the one to the left of the steering wheel. Squeeze the sides after opening it if I remember correctly. Should be others under the hood.

2) It was behind the coin box. I found the fuse for the radio, clock and replaced it and all is well.

Where is the fuse box for 1996 toyota camry? There are several fuse boxes. one is on the lower left side of the stearing wheel (by where you pop the hood) and the other two are under the hood, on the drivers side by the battery.

Most cars have a fuse diagram on the inside of the fuse box cover.
