No it will wipe out the valves.. usually all of the exhaust valves. Here is the interval for changing the timing belt on your Hyundai..
"Normal service replace every 60,000 miles or 48 months. Severe service replace every 40,000 miles or 48 months."

My 2007 hyundai accent hatchback has a burning rubber smell coming from the engine., there are no leaks and it doesn't look like anything is loose (belts etc). Any ideas?

look for any hoses or wires that may be contacting a hot surface or a pulley .if there is alot of oil on the engine then a wash isnt a bad idea. you can generally do it your self for about 10 bucks and a little time keep in mind engines have sensitive electronics that will be damaged if sprayed with water.knowing what to keep dry is key here. check the oil dipstick and cap, transmission fluid dipstick. look for any type of leaks. a good way is to sit a clean peice of cardboard under the car over night. inspecting it the next day will show if something is leaking.hope this helps..let me know what you find.

How often should you change your timing belt?

Most manufactures recommend changing the Timing belt at around 60,000 miles / 100,000 Km or 7 years, whichever comes first. They have been known to last a lot longer than that but it is cheaper to have it replaced than to risk critical and expensive engine damage if it breaks.

I have 65,000 miles on my 2007 hyundai accent hatchback, i was told i need to change the timing belt, will it hurt the car if i still drive it until i can afford to change the belt?

The risk you run is having the belt break which can cause more extensive internal engine damage. You should at least have it looked at which can be done by a trusted mechanic. When you go in don't mention you can only do it if "it is going to break tomorrow". You should consider the cost of both scenarios. This should be a $400 or less to complete. Let me know if you need anything further.

When should I change my timing belt on my 2007 hyundai accent gs hatchback? it has 63000 miles on it.

you wont need to change it until at least 100,000 miles. Typically that will last the life of the car. But alot of people, including myself, wait until it breaks to replace it. It is about $1000 to replace because the engine has to be partially disassembled.

Hi, can anyone give me instructions on replacing tailgate glass on a 2007 hyundai accent 3 door hatch?

The glass is installed using a strong verithane adhesive and is best left to a professional to prevent breaking the glass and leaking after installation.

Is it pretty easy to replace the timing belt on my 2007Accent?

Timing belt replacement is NOT easy and not for the average do it yourselfer. Installing the belt incorrectly can cause severe engine damage by bending the valves, breaking pistons etc. Take this one to a professional.
