The only true way to fix this problem is to scan it and repair the actual problem if you remove the bulbs the car will not function properly

The abs and traction control lights are always on in my 2000 corvette. How do I take turn them off on the dash?

Have your car scanned to make sure you don't have a faulty ABS or wheel speed sensor, this will cause the light to come on.

Think you need an OBD reader to do that as found in GMC workshop, should only cost a few dollars as long as nothing is wrong with the vehicle

Service Active Handling, ABS and Traction Control Lights on

I have had exactly the same problem on and off for 3 years now - and just solved it last week thanks to another computer site. Remove and disassemble both grounds from the top of both the left and right frame rails adjacent to the front corners of the engine block. Completely clean the green corrosion from the internal parts with fine sandpaper and add dielectric grease then re-assemble. Clean the mounting bolt and frame hole while you're at it. Sounds time consuming and difficult, but it ain't. No more than 45 minutes combined. I am a technical airhead so if I can do it so can you. What clued me in was the problem always occurred around wet or humid weather. Also, the clock would always lose time overnite. That has ceased also. Good luck. Anyone know why my left headlite, when deployed, vibrates and shimmys??? Sully [email protected]

Transmission Traction "Off" light stays lit with Traction button

The traction control system is controlled through the Anti-lock brake system. The way it works is if one of your wheels starts spinning the ABS applys the brake to that wheel to transfer power to the oppsite wheel that is getting traction. If your ABS is bad then your Traction control won't work. To check it I would find a parking lot on a wet day. In an open space mash in the gas. if you hear the ABS system kick in and you don't squall the tires then your good. My guess is you won't. What I would be worried about is will my ABS work. When checking the traction control is a good time to check the ABS. Acclerate to around 15 mph, then mash the brake as your live depended on it. If you hear a motor run and feel a vibration or grind in the brake peddal, then it works.
