when you had the transmission filter and gasket changed. do you know if they back flushed the fluild. there is 5 to 7 shift soleniods in the transmission. when garages back flush transmission it causes the solenoids to close. are there any codes. sounds like your 1st and 2nd shift solenoid is stuck closed
At the bottom of your transmission there is a large square/rectangular pan (depends which trans you have). Have a large drain pan to catch 5 to 9 liters/quarts of transmission fluid. Undo all of the retainer bolts and carefully lower the pan (this can get messy for the unexperienced) . In some cases the rear transmission mount may need to be undone and the rear of the trans lifted to allow clearance for the pan to be slid past the crossmember. Replace the trans filter too!
regular unleaeded. 87 octaine. there is no reason to run high test unless you have a aftermarket tuner and bolton horse power additions. like CAI and exhaust, turbo, ect
I you did it by yourself is better to tell the dealer that you truck has that problem dont tell them that you did that because you may have voided the warranty.
