The handbrake button light keeps flashing & the handbrake wont go off

The handbrake light is usually not the handbrake light, it is a warning light for the whole braking system. You could have a problem with the abs system, low brake fluid in the master cylinder or brake pads worn down.
The brake fluid reservoir is easy to check, just lift up the hood and it should be right there mounted on top of the brake booster, in line where the brake pedal is.
The brake pads on modern vehicles have sensors that warn you when they need replacement, so have them checked.
Finally of course, you could have a loose wire on the handbrake warning switch which is mounted at the base of the handbrake, or if you're very lucky, you might just need to drop the handbrake just a fraction more before you drive off.

You may have burned something up. Check with manufacturing codes, the rapid light flashing can be a code.

this could simply be a loose connection on the handbrake switch but this light is also the brake fluid level warning light so it might be a good idea to check the brake fluid level too. also it might be part of the brake pad warning system ane may indicate that the brake pads are nearing replacement it is also required to replace the warning wires with the pads

Yes you can change the TCM but have you checked the oil level?? with engine running handbrake on and select reverse then check oil level

if you have a flashing warning light .disconnect the battery for 10 minutes. reconnect then hold in brake button for 20 sec. this should fix it.

One of two things, either the switch (the button on the end of the park brake lever) is sticking or the fluid is slightly too low.

This is probably the run flat tyre sensor telling you that one of the tyres is down. Check the pressure on all 4 tyres, and get them all to the proper pressure. The button under the handbrake is a reset button for the run flat tyre sensor. With the engine off, hold the button in and keep it held in, start the car up, keep the button in until the light goes off. If it doesnt go off, just wait 10 or 15 seconds, then let go of the button. The warning light should go out. If this happens again, check your tyres again as you may have a puncture that you don't know about.

if you look in the boot where there may be a spare wheel there can sometimes be a leaver thich will overide the automatic system

i have vauxhall vivaro van got starting problems could be glow plugs but now i have a flashing stop light on what looks like a picture of a engine

check brake fluid for color. it should be claer. you are talking about the dash light right.
