Hello and welcome. all these functions run off the liftgate module. the liftgate module is located in the rear hatch. also the replacement liftgate module has to be programmed with software for it to function correctly

  • Disconnect the electrical connectors (3) from the module as necessary.
  • Remove the bolts that retain the module to the liftgate.
  • Remove the module from the liftgate.
  • trailBlazer remote lock, rear defroster, and rear - mrtechwrench_5.gif

Testimonial: "Wow, I have had it in the shop, and it took them $250.00 to come to the conclusion it was the lift gate module. With no repair."

Lift gate will not lock, rear windshield wiper and defrost will not come on. Key fob does not work.

There is either a problem with the Liftgate Module (LGM) or a broken wire in the harness going betweem the liftgate and the body

I have a 2004 Trailblazer and the rear windshield wiper isn't working properly. Once you start the Windshield wiper it works fine however when you turn off the car or turn the wiper off it will not work...

The parking function is built into the motor assembly. We normally replace the assembly. If it is assembled with screws you may be able to open it and possibly repair it.

Windshield wiper for rear window does not work we can hear a clicking sound come from the motor of the rear windshield wiper

If you hear a clicking sound, then you know you have power. Check to see if the motor arm is moving any at the wiper arm.The small cap that covers the wiper arm to motor can be pulled apart, to see if the nut is loose or if the gear housing is stripped on the wiper arm, or if the motor drive is stripped. These are say to check and are cost effective for you.
