How do you adjust the steering wheel in a 2005 Hyundai accent

The automatic brake adjusters work when the car is in reverse and you touch the brake. They should not lock the wheel however. An inspection of the rear brake assembly on both sides might show the problem. total brake repair might be appropriate on a car that age.

HIMA you have a bent tie-rod or broken not safe to drive until you have this problem checked out quickly! TAKE IT TO HYUNDAI DEALER FOR HELP!!

It is part of the ignition lock cylinder.

In the passenger compartment relay box under the dash just left of the steering column.

most hyundais are a 16 pin conector located under the steering wheel somewhere (fuse box, under dash, behind panel right hand side of steering wheel) or in the centre under the handbrake or just behind park brake under a cover.

With car in park, try to turn the steering wheel back and forth while turning key. This should free up your jam.

under the dash as i remember but a europeon model doesnt have a OBDII untill 2005 and even then they are not connected as such but they will still have the dealer only socket under the bonnet which is connected .

Sorry to say but you have to remove the center housing of the steering wheel and use a wheel puller to remove the steering wheel itself. You may find a tempered steel C-Ring holding a tephalon spacer. If you go that far with it I am sure it will come in to place.Hope this helps.

Unless the vehicle has just a tremendous amount of sloppiness in the steering wheel or the ignition switch. It may just be in a bind and need a little more pressure than normal to allow you to unlock it. It may even take the help of a friend if it's in a bind or the steering is locked with the wheels turned severely one direction or the other. Have a friend grab the steering wheel and pull it down hard to the left or right while you try to turn the key. I mean a hard steady pull, not a quick ****. If it still doesn't release you most likely have an internal problem with the locking mechanism or the ignition switch itself.

get it inspected. most likely you need an alignment or wheel balance if you can feel it in the steering wheel.

Also if the brake rotors are warped you will feel it the faster you go. You would feel this in the brake pedal.

Also you could have a defective tire. Get it inspected to be sure.
