Most of the time when this happens it is because the track drive has broken and took out the controller for it in the process the controller is mounted on the track as far as fuse like the Windows they are powered by breakers to replace the track and controller you wilhave to remove the seat from the vehicle and unbolt it off of the bottom of the seat
Hello-
If your fuses are good, perhaps your heated seat switch is faulty. You can test the switch for connectivity using a meter to see if power is going through the switch when in the ON position. If the meter shows no power while in the ON position, replace the switch. If power is reaching the seat, then likely the heating element itself within the seat is the culprit.
there is a 25 amp circuit breaker for seats.should be marked POWER SEATS in the fuse block. the ORANGE wire at the switch gets power from that breaker, so check the ORANGE wire for power.
this is common, if the seats move an any direction then its not a fuse, these dont use fuses rather a circuit breaker that resets itself and never seen one go bad, sorry for the bad news but it sounds like the lay down part is a motor or cable from motor and the lumber is a bad pump or connection under the seat. most of these that i work on have bad lumber pump motors and that are inside seat some older ones are under the seat, the way to repair is to replace the track, new or used, but if pump is inside the seat then thats another story, the covering needs to be removed. good day.
I had same problem with my 2001 Sierra after working around steering column, check TBC fuse in fuse box under hood, this provides power for body control module, remote keyless entry and headlamps. My truck had the exact same syptoms and this fuse was blown.
Left side of the dash, to the right of the IP fuse block. Its a 25 amp circuit breaker, an aluminum cased breaker.
CHECK FOR POWER ON THE SEAT SWITCH "A" TERMINAL AND GROUND ON THE "D" TERMINAL. IF YOU HAVE POWER AND GROUND THE SWITCH IS BAD.
both my power seats are not working at all ..it first started with driver seat , to make seat move forward and back tilting the recliner was working then it went out ..not working either..then after a month later my pasenger seat stopped working as well... what might be the issue..please reply
I wonder if you dont have a bad switch. I had a similar problem on my car except that it was the heated seats that would not engage... the power seat buttons all worked just fine. I changed the switch and it fixed the problem...
erasy to reapi a seat just remove from vehicle and strip the covers off most are rachet and pawl but if you cant fix it get a welder and weld it into the optimum position that you want then replace the cushions and covers
