My 2000 Oldsmobile Bravada died about a mile down the road. Battery is fine. The security light was blinking and it won't start. It seems like it may be something with the security system or not getting fuel for some reason. I read the pass lock info still doesn't work. It says it needs service What needs to be done to it? Thanks Denice

I would first check for error codes (DTCs) with a code reader to see if that will tell you more about the problem. Many parts stores will do that for you for free.

I hav a 1995 88 w/ same problem. Key was worn out, Had Security system disabled.by installing a resistor to by pass Sec. System.Had it done for $35.00 Check locally for a starter/alternator shop in your area.

You should remover the fan blade first the the fan clutch. Both have four bolts attaching to each part

Seems you may have more than one problem. A few questions you must answer first. If you have to jump it to start it,then your battery is dead are you have a draw draining the battery. Now if it dies right away look at your security light and see if it is on. Probably your security system is thinking someone stole the battery and shuts the fuel system down. Change the battery and Google the reset security system on 1997 Olds Achieva and you probably be set to go

Truck died driving down the road believe its fuel pump related.no pressure at the bleeder by the intake but relay is clicking.been told that its unusual to die when running but things happen

switch the relay with another (abs, horn relay) to see if it gets the fuel pump going-if not, fuel pump time.

Sounds like either a bad Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) or a malfunctioning Instrument Cluster Module.

Sounds like a bad battery connection, or the battery could be dead because your charging system isn't working.

There have been alot of this type problem you describe. That body style of GM car has had meny ignition issues with the PASSLOCK 2 system. The system for some reason thought it was being stolen, and shut down. The security light might not blink or come on at all in some cases. It should but may not. (if there are issues with the BCM (Body Control Module) or ECM (engine Control Module) The Chime you heard may have been a security reset indicator notice. Thlling you that the Security System incountered a problem,and was ready again.
