SOURCE: My Infiniti J30 sputters a lot when I try to start it in cold weather
the vehicle needs a sensor called the coolant temperature sensor usually mounted on the thermostat housing replace it the last time i did one the switch wwas expensive around $150 parts alone
SOURCE: Car wont start for a few minutes, then starts and runs fine.
Try using an OBD II diagnostics tester to see if there's a fault code stored in your pcm, if you don't have one you can purchase one at most auto parts store's, some auto parts stores will do this test for you at no cost, one for example is auto zone, this should tell you what the problem might be. Good luck.
SOURCE: 1996 Infiniti I30 turn key and barely turns over
The problem is almost certainly the starter and not the battery. Once a battery gets to the point that you turn the key and nothing, not even clicking takes place, it is highly unlikely that after a few minutes it will turn over. However, the corrosion is an indication that the battery will need to be replaced anyway. Normally, the starter in the beginning stages of complete failure will do exactly what you described, turn the key and nothing, no noise, no clicking, nothing. I have seen starters that will start the car after doing that if the vehicle sits for a little while. The starter will engage fewer and fewer times until it finally completely fails. Sometimes, when you turn the key and nothing happens, you can have someone tap on the starter with a bar or something with a little weight while you are attempting to start it and it may start. The starter on that car is on the drivers side of the engine, toward the front, down low. I would suggest taking your car to a AutoZone, or parts store, or even Wal-Mart and have the battery tested, as that regardless of the starter issue, you are going to need a battery. Another thing, Infiniti starters will make a wheezing sound for a second as the car is starting, so listen if you can get it started again and see if you hear that sound. Hope this helps you and good luck.

That is a problem with the imobilizer. If you have a key fob replace the battery in the fob.If that fails then you have to get the imobilizer deactivated by a garage

I have the exact same issue.
I brought it to the dealership and they expect the problem to come from the AC control unit.
