What fuse controls the hazard function. The hazard button disloged from the dash (over the radio) while I was trying to put it on and it is now somewhere inside the dash board behind the radio. My flashers (hazard lights) are now on and there is no way to turn them off with out taking the fuse that controls them out of the fuse box. My engine is still running to keep the battery charged and I do NOT want to run out of gas. Please help!

SOURCE: can't find the turn signal or emergency flasher fuse for 1998

Conrad, up north.
My protege is a '99. The turn signals and hazard flashers use the same flasher unit. It is located under the dash to the left of the steering wheel and above and a bit to the right right of the driver's side fuse box.

SOURCE: Bussmann Flasher for Saturn

The flashers are timed thru the hazzard switch. The hazzard switchneeds replaced. As for your other problems, has to be a body control module. The dealer will need to program this peice, as it holds the miles.

Locating 3 amp fuse to radio which is secondary fuse after main fuse at the fuse block under dash. Followed wiring diagram which indicates fuse should be near or inside radio enclosure.

Question edited for clarity, 'fuse', unless you light it 'fuze'.Question moved to sub category.

If the radio has an inline fuse, it will be within 82 of the plug at the rear. They are built into the harness. Unlikely because there are three fuses covering audio.

My 07 Subaru Forester hazard lights came on and I cannot cut them back off buy the switch on the steering column how do I get hazard lights cut off

Unless you can isolate the fuse which controls them, and unless that fuse controls only the hazard lights, I do not know.

Hazard light button pushed thru housing. Can't turn off hazard lights

REMOVE HAZARD FUSE IT WILL TURN OFF FLASHER UNTIL YOU FIX HAZARD BUTTON.
YOU GOING HAVE TO REMOVE SPEEDOMETER AND TACH CLUSTER TO GET TO HAZARD SWITCH.TURN OFF RADIO FIRST BEFORE REMOVING NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE BECAUSE YOU WILL DISABLE AIRBAGS WHILE WORKING AROUND STEERING WHEEL AND DASH AREA. WAIT 20 MINUTES BEFORE WORKING AROUND DASH AREA AFTER DISCONNECTING NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE.

I have a 2004 Monte Carlo, my turn signals and flashers just stopped working, the fuse is good and all the bulbs are good. Does anyone have any other ideas as to what is causing this problem.

The turn signal switch assembly often causes this problem. If the hazard button is on your steering column it is part of the switch assembly and is called a multi-function switch . If it has a separate hazard button on the dash the can also cause the the same thing to happen. Try holding very slight pressure on the hazard button on the dash while the turn signal is on. If it starts working correctly replace only the the hazard switch. It is usually just snapped into the hole in the dash. If the hazard switch is on the column, than you should replace the multi-function switch. If it is equipped with an airbag, be sure the key is off while working on column. The multi-function switch should not require removal of the steering wheel on this car.

97 Chevy truck blinkers not working but hazards do

Try replacing the Flasher first before spending to much money for a possible simple fix. If it's not your flasher then it could be the turn signal leaver.
Ok, this may seem stupid, but that's what they did to the blazer. They set the flasher near the middle and under the center console behind the radio.

It's to the left of the radio right behind the dash. The hazard flasher and the turn signal flasher are side by side.  It right next to the Cig lighter behind the panel. They do mark the turn signal from the hazard flasher on the plastic behind them. Turn is on the right.

Good luck and hope this helps.

Turn signal

The wire under the hazard button has probably come loose. Most GMC vehicles this year range were made with a closed circuit wiring between the flashers, hazard lights, and rear defrost. Over time the wiring under the hazard button has been known to loosen. This causes the whole system to lose function. If pop out the hazard button on you center console you should be able to tighten that wire back on and the system should work again.
The same thing happened to me when I put in a new radio. I bumped the wires off and my blinkers, rear defrost, and hazard lights went out. I replaced the fuses and the flasher relay but nothing. Then I asked a mechanic and he told me what I just told you.
Hope it helps!
