You should still be able to lock your car with the key, remember how we use to do it the old way..... with the key :-D. The central lock solenoid is located in the door itself, behind the door trim. Replace the offending solenoid with a new or used one. And once again you can lock/unlock the car with the remote

My central locking doesn't work on citron c2.

If the central locking system is not working on your Citroen C2 and the garage has quoted a high price for a new key and programming, here are a few things you can check:
  1. Check the fuses: Check the fuses for the central locking system. It's possible that a blown fuse could be causing the issue.
  2. Check the battery: Ensure that the car battery is fully charged and functioning properly. A weak or dead battery can cause issues with the central locking system.
  3. Check the wiring: Check the wiring for any damage or loose connections. The wiring for the central locking system is located behind the door panels.
Regarding the passenger door, if it is permanently locked, you can try the following steps to manually unlock it:
  1. Remove the door panel: Remove the door panel to gain access to the lock mechanism.
  2. Manually unlock the door: You can try to manually unlock the door by using a flathead screwdriver or a slim jim to manipulate the lock mechanism.
  3. Check the lock mechanism: Once the door is unlocked, check the lock mechanism for any damage or wear. Replace any damaged parts as needed.
If you're not comfortable with these steps or if the issue persists, it's best to have a professional mechanic diagnose and repair the issue. They will have the knowledge and equipment necessary to properly diagnose and fix the problem.

Hi there key dont work

it could be a problem with the central locking unit. you would need to have the system red on a obd read that does this part of the vehicle, you could try to reset the system key in ignition turn to number 2, press fob doors should lock and unlock with the button pressed. as for the side door this is controlled by the front door on that side this door has to be locked and the pin moved in the lock to send the power to lock the side door. with the central locking not working on the system and you manually locking it it may not be going all the way to lock both doors. or the central locking is not working at all. the fuse for central locking is in the main fuse box.

My bmw will not start when the central locking fails

There is a computer under the glove compartment that controls the locking system in your car that also works with the alarm system in your car and if that computer is not working properly that is the reason why. If that computer registers that the car was not open properly that it will deactivate the starter
