97 kia sephia, replaced battery, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, air filter, fuel filter, added heet water removal and lucas fuel injector. It sputters, backfires/pops when accelerating and it has no power, drives like a golf cart with a dying battery. It starts up and idles okay and is smooth when you rev it at a certain level, but if you push more on the gas pedal, it wants to stall or sputter, backfire/pop, etc. Before, I got a code reader check, which output codes for misfire cyl. 3 and both oxygen sensors. After, I did the tune-up, it was better, but still having issues with the sputter, backfires/pops, lack of power, etc. Any ideas?

As you have replaced all the obvious things that could cause the symptoms it may be a good idea to have a cylinder compression test done , if comes back OK i'd try a fuel addative , one that covers the catalytic convertor , as there are many sensor's involved in the fuel/exhaust system as you know , this addative will clean any residue affecting there reading's , hope this helps

SOURCE: Replaced battery, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, air

How many miles? I am NOT a mechanic! Sounds like possible timing belt/chain jumped a tooth. Or the timing advance mechanism is malfuctioning. (Unlikely - check distributor is tight or not shifted from normal position too far back or forward.) Assuming belt and not chain, 80 k miles or more, likely need to replace timing belt in any case, before it breaks. If it breaks, you'll be replacing valves and pistons too.

I changed plugs dist cap and rotor button also plug wires. still sputters like it has bad plug wires.

Check the fuel filter, and you may have some bad fuel with water and contaminates in it.Use some additives called lucas fuel treatment and heet a good fuel dryer.

My 97 deville sputters when you press on the gas

Start by putting Lucas fuel stabilizer ,this will remove water in the tank and stabilize bad gas. It also cleans injectors some what. If this doesn't work move on to your fuel pressure regulator and make sure u have good injectors. Also replace fuel filter, easy to do with the purchase of a five dollar tool at any parts store.
