I have a 1997 Buick Rivera, V6 Turbo charged. My heater fan quit working. It looks like the unit is calling for heat but no fan.. Fuses are good and every once in a while it will kick on. i am wondering if there is a really associated with the fan motor control that could be the culprit.. I am trying not to rip the center console and dash apart until I absolutely have to .. Any ideas?

I am having the same problem.......Do you have power at the fuse box? I don't and from what I have read there is a relay somewhere. That is where I am........Still cold! Good Luck!

Heater stopped working - have had a look at fuses etc but nothing obvious. How do I look at the fan? It's a 1997 E430 Avant-Garde.

if the blower fan working and A/C working fine, only the heater not working possibly faulty heating water recirculation pump check the pump.

Fan motor quit working on a 91 buick park ave fuses are good

If the fan motor for the radiator quit and the fuses are ok, the fan motor is bad, or the fusible link going to the fan has blown (it looks like a wire coming from the starter and will stretch if bad).

I have a 94 Buick Regal Custom with a 3.8 V6 engine I just got a new battery two days ago and yesterday I was driving to work and my car started to overheat when I pulled into work and looked under the...

It may be that the coolant spraying from the open radiator shorted out the electric cooling fan. This would cause overheating even after refilling the antifreeze, and if the short is severe enough, could also drain the battery. Try charging the battery with a plug-in charger overnight, and remove the fuse for the radiator/cooling fan. If it starts up and runs as normal until it begins to heat up, this is probably the case. It would be a good idea to clean the whole engine with degreaser, being careful not to get it in the alternator, and to clean all electrical components with QD contact or electrical cleaner. It could also be a short in the heater fan circuit, but this is less likely. It is more likely that the draw from the heater fan took too much power away from the radiator fan, especially if the battery was marginal due to excess heat or shorting from having gotten very wet. Also, check that the polarity on the battery is correct, just for good measure.

Heater and overdrive button as well as heated seats quit working

Your heater problem could be a blower motor resistor if the motor does not work at all. If the blower does work then the problem could be a bad heater valve. I assume that the 30 amp blower fuse is good. The seats and overdrive light have no connection with the blower. Does the heated seat light come on? Do you have automatic temp control.
