do you know the 4 digit code, if you do then put the code in , follow the directions in your owners manual. If you know it you need to go to a GM dealer to have them to do it and it's not cheap .
Sounds like you have the wrong code, maybe the radio was replaced? Hold preset buttons 1 and 6 then turn on the radio. It will display the radio serial #, 4 digits then 4 more. Dealer can get you the code. Or you can register at the owners site online and get the code yourself.
If factory installed put on radio. The safe sign will appear. There should be a 4 digit code for the radio.Punchin the code using numbers 1-4.Press repeatedly from number 1 till for the fist digit number 2 for the second digit etc.when you have punched the code in the safe sign will appear.Briefly press loud /expert then wait a few seconds your radiio should then display .Look for your favourite channels .If you punch in the code wrong there is a waiting period.First attempt wait 21 seconds ,second attempt1.5 minutes 3rd attempt5.5 minutes...4th attempt22 mins.5th attempt1.5 hrs. If this fails ,disconnect battery and start again
you need a 4 digit code to put in the radio to make it work again. should be with the paper work of the car if not you may be able to get the code from toyota but it may cost a bit. would first remove the radio as some times the code has been written on the radio some were if it has been removed before.
ok rpt stands for repeat. when it says that it is the wrong code that you are putting in. you only get three trys on this. after the third time it will say off. you must wait 2 hrs with the stereo on until you can try putting a code in. you need to find the right code for that stereo.inside your manual book there should be a credit card size card that has a four digit code on it. that is your stereo code. put that in and your stereo should be up in running. good luck
That 4 digit code is not a serial # it is a 4 digit anti theft code witch is usually set by factory so usually if you have the original manual for car the code should be written in there some where usually
You will have to access a 6 digit code out of the radio Theftlock system then still go to a dealership to get the 4 digit code that unlocks the radio. Most people put in a radio code (4 digits) when new then forget it years later when the battery is replaced or radio removed. Press preset buttons #2 & #3 at the same time with the key in run position and radio on. A 3 digit code should be displayed (write it down) then immediately press the AM/FM button, another 3 digit code will appear. Take the 6 digit code to a GM dealer. They will call Delcotronics with the generic 6 digit code and get you the master unlock code for your radio. You can dial it in using the scan buttons (best to ask the dealer how, or get them to do it). Once set you can change it again or write down the master unlock code and keep it somewhere for the next time the battery is disconnected. If you can't access the 6 digit code, you will still need to bring it to a dealership and have it unlocked by reprogramming it. It actually is a module on the data line and can create trouble codes and be programmed. It can not be taken from your truck and used in any other vehicle unless programmed to that vehicle.
If you replaced your battery, you probably lost your audio system code as well. You should put that in first or your navigation system voice will not work. I assume you have the code for your audio system.
After you get your audio system working then you should be able to put the code in for you navigation system as follows:
Enter the four-digit navigation system security code, then select Done. If you have entered it correctly, the display changes to the Disclaimer screen. You have ten chances to enter the correct code. If all ten are incorrect, turn the ignition to OFF, then back to ON (II) to have ten more chances to enter the correct code (I would try this is your unit has turned off and doesn't come back on).
If you have other questions on this, leave a comment and I will investigate further.
Hope this helps you.
