Will the quad 4 transmission bolt up and work on the 3.1L V6?
The car has a blown up quad 4 in it now, and i would rather have a V6 in it rather than a used quad 4. i have a V6 motor, wiring harness and computer out of a 95 chevy monte carlo. it is all the same as a V6 grand am, but idk if the transmission will bolt up. i havent ripped it apart yet, because i don't know if i wanna keep it.

The rod bearing cap bolt torque specifications for the 3.0L V6 engine in a 2000 Ford Ranger XLT 4x4 with a manual transmission are as follows:
Step 1: Tighten the bolts to 15 foot-pounds of torque.
Step 2: Tighten the bolts to 30 foot-pounds of torque.
Step 3: Tighten the bolts an additional 90 degrees (1/4 turn) using a torque angle gauge.
It's important to follow the torque specifications and sequence in the manufacturer's service manual to ensure proper tightening and prevent damage to the engine.

Do not buy a '97 to '99 3.0CL transmission and expect it to work in yourAccord. It will bolt up to the .... Honda 1998-1999 Accord - (3.0L V6) - B7XA
If automatic transmission wont work engine block's are not the same, if stander transmission you could swap out bell housing held on with four bolt's from one to the other. Good luck and hope this was very helpful.
There is a dust cover that comes off to allow access to these bolts, look in area between the engine and trans. for a cover about 1/4 the size of the bell housing.
yes a transmission should bolt up to the v8 as long as it's stays a small block and not a big block , i'm sure the tranny bolt pattern will bolt on a small block or a v6 /but the v6 transmission wont last long on a v8 :) gl on your project..
