Where to put in transmission fluid for a 2001 vw passat v6

Most of these v w have a plug you can unscrew and then there are those you may want to take to a service department and have them check and fill the transmission fluid because there are sometimes a certain procedure to follow when checking the transmission fluid depending on the vehicle.

Cant find where to fill transmission fluid on my 2001 volkswagon passat

I'm not an expert on Volkswagens, but on all the cars I've ever owned, transmission fluid was added directly down the tube that houses the transmission fluid dip stick. Remove the dip stick and use a funnel with a narrow opening. I hope this helps you out.

Type of transmission oil for 2001 VW PASSAT

the trans fluid can only be serviced through a standpipe in the pan with car in the air and trans at an exact temp,<needs to be on a monitor computer> it also uses special fluid not any of the normal fluids. this fluid is suposed to be "lifetime" fluid that doesn't need servicing unless there is a leak or a trans failure.
