I need an exploded view of the Pontiac 3800 SuperCharged V6 showing the 4 bolt mains. I need to identify the cross bolts. I have them in a pile of bolts but I don't have the block and main caps. I need to deliver the bolts tomorrow morning.

  • Anonymous Nov 03, 2010

Yes those are studs. I purchased the ARP studs for this to replace the main bolts but this motor has cross bolt mains. In each cap are two bolts that go through the block to hold the main caps from the side in addition to the main bolts I am replacing with the studs. I need to see a picture of the side bolts.

I know what the 8 main bolts/studs look like. Is it possible you even read my question? I asked about the cross bolts. cross bolts, cross bolts, cross bolts, cross bolts NOT the main bolts. Thanks for nothing.

I have a 2000 pontiac grand prix gt 3800 v6 that is not supercharged.i got to get a new engine.will a supercharged 3800 v6 hook up to my none supercharged engine

The engines are the same dimensions and use the same mounts, but the wiring and sensors are a bit different and you need the computer and gauge cluster out of the supercharged car.

Water pump replacement for 2006 grand prix gt supercharged v6

first take the 4 bolts that hold the water pump pulley out, do this while the belt still on, it's easier because the pulley won't turn on you.
remove the pulley then take the 8 bolts around the water pump then pry the pump out.

Does a 3.8 supercharged v6 fit into the base model impala?

Yhea it would bolt right in, they sold them from the factory like that. There would be lots of differances though. In the long run it would be cheaper to find a doner car at a wrecking yard, so you can get the wiring harness, pcm, all of the brackets, and verious other things. If you could find a wreck car for sale localy take all of the stuff you will need then you could part out the rest and make some of your money back!
