I can help you to put it down but you must get it check what's the wrong may be faulty wiper motor or fuse or wiper control, when you push it down same time you have to pull the wiper arm out it will move, and also it's depend on where its stop if it's half way pull it out and push it down if it's need to pass the middle first you have to push it in and push it down till pass the half way then pull it out and push it down, if you jest push it down it won't move. in your particular car have dual action wiper motor is this information helped you?

Hi Orangie, It sounds to me as if there is a problem with the threads on the shaft or the nut holding the arm! Try to replace the nut with a self locking type. (Those are the type which have a plastic insert at the bottom or the top) It sounds as if the arm has been placed in the wrong position when you have reattached it on previous occasions. The wiper motor shaft has splines so when attaching the arm set it so that the self park mechanism is synced for the off to have the wiper blades down. If the shaft of the motor has been damaged you may need to replace the wiper motor. If you do, take a walk around some braekers yards and have a look for a good second hand unit. that may save you a lot of cash! Regards John

I need to have 'step-by-step' instructions for replacing the driver side windshield wiper arm on my 2000 Ford Explorer. Can you help me with this?

  • Turn your wipers off, using the stalk on the left side of your steering column. Turn your ignition off and remove the key.

  • 2

Pull the wiper blade up to lift it to the service position. Pull the front part of the blade down to position it at an angle.

  • 3

Pull back the lock pin on the center part of the wiper blade (where it connects to the wiper arm). This unlocks the blade from the wiper arm.

  • 4

Grasp the blade on each side and pull it down (away from the extended wiper arm) to release it from the "U" clip.

  • 5

Repeat the process for the other wiper blade, if desired. Removing the driver's side and passenger's side wiper blade is the same.

  • 6

Install the new wiper blade. Open the lock pin on the new blade, and then insert it into the wiper arm "U" clip. Close the lock pin and lower the wiper blade to its normal position.

Can't get wiper blade arms off. need replaced

lift the arm away from the windshield. if the tension spring is damaged or broken, the arm will not show

resistance. if it is working properly, then pull the arm back until the hinge locks in a verticle position.

remove the retaining nut at the bottom of the windshield wiper arm and pull the wiper arm off.

slide the new wiper assembly on.

tighten the retaining nut and lower the arm back down to the windshield. you will need a wrench and

    socket set. good luck!

How do you replace the rear wiper on a 2009 Scion XD?

You can make use of following procedure to replace rear wiper in ur scion xd.
Pull the rear wiper arm away from the rear window in order to access the wiper blade.

  • Locate the hinge where the blade mechanism meets the wiper arm and squeeze the plastic tabs on the blade in order to release it from its locked position on the arm. In some cases, instead of tabs, there is a small button that must be pressed to release the wiper from the arm.
  • Detach the blade from the arm and slide the old blade out. Insert the new blade into the wiper arm and lock the blade in place.
  • Return the wiper arm to its set position. Before driving, wet the window and test the wiper to make sure it is operating properly.

    Replacing front wiper blades

If they're standard Chrysler (and they should be), feel the underside of the blade at the pivot. Inward, there's a plastic that down and slide the wiper blade toward the base of the arm (inward). Pretty much, the wiper arm terminates in a hook. When you press down on that plastic strip, you free a small peg from a hole that holds the wiper on that hook...then you just slide it off. To put the new one on, just slide the new blade on that same hook until it locks into place.

How do I get the old wipers off my hyundai 2000 elantra wagon and put on new armour all wiper blades?

The old wiper blade assembly can be pushed out of the end of the wiper arm. Depending on the blade, you may need to use a screwdriver to depress a locking tab on the blade assembly. The new wiper blade snaps into place on the end of the wiper arm. Also, your new wiper blades usually come with diagrams/instructions. Check them.
