I have a 2002 Mercury Villager and I reversed polarity (installing new battery). Luckily, the battery stayed intact, not so luckily, the car (with new battery) is completely dead electrically. When I look in the fusible link box, I am unsure which fuses I am checking to see whether or not they are blown (I know they are labeled), but is there a specific fuse (describing the above idiotic maneuver) in which I need to be looking at?

Vilager 2002.

I forgot ligts on 2 time and I had to call AAA for jump start. Jump start from other cars would not work. I had AAA changed my btty last month since he checked and his compute system said that btty was dead.

Today I went out, DID NOT HAVE ANY lights on. But after coming back from store in 10 minutes, car would not start. There were not lights or anything left on. I called AAA, same AAA guy that I bought btty from came to help me. He checked alternater for jucing back..its fine. He jumped and car started. He check btty with computer again. Its dead, needs to change. He replaced my btty without any cost.

I asked him to check my btty and wiring system to see there was something draining my btty while idle. No drainage.

so...anyone with any idea ?

Where is the power window relay located in a 2002 mercury villager?

Principles of Operation
The driver power window regulator motor is controlled directly by the master window/door lock/unlock switch (and its integrated "auto down" module). Power is supplied to the power window relay and the master window/door lock/unlock switch, and the passenger power window switch when the SEC/timer module grounds the coil side of the power window relay. The SEC/timer module will ground this relay when the ignition is in the ON position and will remain energized for approximately 15 minutes or until the driver or passenger door is opened.
The driver power window regulator motor is a reversible motor that is operated by applying power and ground to the motor leads to lower the window, and then reversing polarity on those leads to raise the window.
The passenger power window regulator motor is controlled directly by the passenger power window switch and can also be controlled by the master window/door lock/unlock switch.
The passenger power window regulator motor is a reversible motor, which is operated by applying power and ground to the motor leads to lower the window, and then reversing polarity on those leads to raise the window.
The power rear quarter glass is also directly controlled by the master window/door lock/unlock switch. The power rear quarter glass power latches also utilize reversible motors. The power rear quarter glass power latches are operated by applying power and ground to the motor leads to open the window, and then reversing polarity on those same leads to close the window.

I put a new battery in my villager and my radio won't work. Any ideas?

Hi.

If the radio turns on but does not operate (stays locked), then the anti theft kicked in. In that case you need to go to the nearest dealer to have the stereo unlocked.

If the radio is completely dead, then the fuse is gone. If radio is factory one, then there is one or two fuses in the in car fuse panel (they should be 15 amps if no amp is installed). Aftermarket units may also have a fuse located at the back of car radio. You will need to pull out the car stereo if that is the case.

Regards.

Ginko.
