Remote locking problem

I have an e240 60000 miles last full service 57500 miles. I gave my keys to a collegue in work to put some merchandise in my car. When I got home I tried to open the back passanger door but it was locked. I opened the door from theinside but after this the remote locking would not work. I looked at he fuses under back seat, also under bonnet / hood but could not see any blown fuses. i tried to open the boot/trunk with key and it would no open either.The hand held zapper has power and indicators flash when you press zapper/ fob.

Could you please advise on how best to proceed.

Remote door locks, remote trunk open button works.... Remote start DOES NOT work..... Could this be a fuse? What else might cause this failure?
Could be. There are inline fuses for the after market remote start under the dash. If the fuses are good, Remove the remote start system. It is dieing, Soon you won't be able to start the car with the key. Good systems last 5 to 7 years. Cheap systems might last 2 years. I have never put one in, but have removed several hundred.

Try locking and unlocking the doors with the key fob to see if it corrects the problem. You can also try using the key and locking and unlocking the drivers door only

A plastic clip that holds the lock linkage is probably broke or worn. You need to pull of the inner door panel to see whats going on inside. Use the remote and see whats happening. It could be bent rod in door from someone using a slim jim to unlock it when they locked the keys in it at some point. Bend the rod and try the remote again untill it works properly.

Many times the dealer gives you a valet key made to give to the vet to park your car, these keys work even though the theft deterant system is active, but they will only work for short periods untill the theft system activates and imobolizes the vehicle. The system is reset when the valet brings your vehicle and you insert your normal (chiped) key.

If you lock your doors with your remote or the power locks you need to unlock them with the remote or the alarm will go off. to reset the alarm you need to put the key in the ignition and turn it on and off 3 times fast.

I can not release my boot open from button in car or from my key fob! only putting the key in and turning it will open it.
the boot lock has two positions full left then upright or full right then upright one of these positions will allow you to remotely open the boot.(it is so that you can lock tho boot and give the service key,which will not open boot/glovebox,to the garage or valet parking.
