Check the pressure in all the tires eaven of the spare tire, probably that one has a sensor to,after that if the light does not come off, take it to a tire shop to reset the sensor,is a special tool they use.

First make sure you have the right amount of tire pressure in all four tires. Use the specification that is mounted on your door jamb. I believe it is 32 psi. Drive for up to 20 miles. Light should turn off. If light doesn't turn off most liekly you have a bad tire or bad tpms sensor. You will have to take to chevy dealer for tpms diagnosos or some tires shops have tpms sensors scanners

All you should need to do is check and set all tire pressures and make sure to check the spare also, after all tires are set with air you then drive a few blocks and the light should reset if the light does not reset then you will need to find out which wheel has a bad air pressure sensor, this is done with a tool that is put on the valve stem or a scan tool to see which tire is showing the wrong pressure, hope this helps.

Chevy Cobalt TPMS issue

Most GM cars can be done by holding both lock and unlock buttons on the key fob. The horn will then sound and the you let the air out of the tire. The hot will sound once detected. Start at the left front and then the right front, right rear and left rear. The horn will sound again indicating the procedure has been completed.

2010 cobalt need 2 know how 2 reset low tire pressure monitor

The low tire pressure warning should go out if you set all of the tire pressures to the correct pressure, then drive the vehicle for about a mile. You should not have to "relearn" the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) unless the tires are (A.) rotated into different positions or (B.) There is a bad sensor that needs to be replaced.

For more information, you can read the information in your Owner's Manual. Here is a link to a pdf version 2009 Cobalt owners manual. (The information and procedures are the same for 2008 - 2010 Cobalts) The TPMS section starts on page 5-64

My service tire monitor light came on on my 2008 cobalt. What should I do.

This means you need to check the pressure in your tires. One or more is below the recomended limit. Fill it up and drive for a mile. Light should go out.

Unfortunaltly you can't turn the light off unless the repair is made. It is a safety feature. And yes, the little monitor inside the rim has gone bad or cracked. These are easily replaced by a tire technision, but the cost of the (TPMS)tire moniter is pricey.

now what it sounds like is the key has a sensor built in it the keys cost around 60.00$ but this is most likely what is wrong. the sensor is a security feature with the car if the light glows while trying to turn the car then this your problem :)
