You can try changing the filter, but more then likely you will have to drain the tank, as water is heavier then fuel so it will be on the bottom of the tank. Good Luck Tim

Do you hear the turbo whine/high pitched noise when it's pulling?Do you know for a fact if the turbo is working? Is fuel pressure correct? Is the exhaust system sound very quiet? If it does then it may be restricted.

1994 chevy 3500 6.9 diesel you drive it acs like running out of fuel half to bleed lines to get air out to start back up

sounds like u got a clogged fuel filter, or you have got a fuel line somewhere that is sucking air in, could be anywhere from the pump back to the tank, if that shows no luck, get a piece of clear hose and put that just before the pump and look for bubbles, the slightest of bubbles will cause it do run rough and stall
failing this and there is no air bubbles i would say your injector pump needs rebuilding but this is rather unlikely unless u have got a fair few miles on it

hope this helps

Engine replacement

any of the non computerized aka 12 valve cummins will interchange going from the p7100 pump on the 94 to the ve injection pump on the 92 may mean rerouting some of the fuel lines to hook it up. make sure you use all the sensors from the 94 engine though so all your gauges read correctly other than the fuel system the engines are identical though so should have no issues doing this
