To pass smog, i need to re rout my vacuum lines, is this something anyone could do, or do i need to take it to the shop? and how much would you say it should cost to get them re routed?

Hi, this is a very common failure. I recommend you call a couple brake shops. They will have the parts in stock and better experience to get the job done quickly. The bed or the tank may need to come off, but a quicker way may be to leave the old line in and just cut it, reflare the ends, and reroute a new spliced line. Your Firestone mechanics may not have the experience to know this.
take the six bed bolt loose and then take three buddies slide the bed back put in the new pump slide it back n place and put the bed bolts back in. if u drop the tank u can easily break the hard plastis lines that go to the fuel tank. u only have to take the fill lines and taillight wires loose this way its alot quicker, and easier.
should be emissions lable under hood, will show diagram of emission components that truck was shipped with.If not take vin to local chevy dealer.Service department may be able to pull build sheet from gm global.
If you add 3oz of acetone per 10gal of fuel if the readings were close to passing it should get you there, BUT you will have to test components to find what is malfunctioning. Could be anything from incorrect timing to (name something). There's no magic fixs.
As far as I know. Anything 1994 and under don't have to go through emissions anymore, just safety. But, like countrysi248 said, it might depend on what state you live in. Best wishes to ya.
