Broken stabalizer links, broken stabilizer bar, and worn out stabilizer bar bushings are fairly common. As well as the rear bushings on the front lower control arms. A quick inspection of the front end and you should be able to tell if the links are bad, bar is broken, or the lower control arm bushings are separated. If the rear bushings on the front lower control arms are seperated the lower control arm will look like it is resting on the subframe.

Im looking to find out the part names on my 1999 3100 sfi v6 malibu engine. These part names elude me.

Difficult to see because they are on their side, and Fixya doesn't provide a way to enlarge images.

There are some good diagrams here and the video tab has tear down videos

When a map sensor starts going out will it cause a 99 chevy Malibu 3100v6 to quit while driving?

The MAP sensor should only throw a check engine light. Either a bad ignition control module or a fuel pump are going to cause the issue your stating. Start with those, dont be afraid of forums as well, very good DIY's to be found. The 3100 V6 is a 3100 v6 no matter if its in an impala or a malibu or even oldsmobiles and buicks. Good luck.

I have a 2000 chevy malibu. I recently replaced the front brake pads. After this when driving down the road when i hit bumps something in the frontend rattles, i can hear and feel it.. when i hit or ride...

A loose pad could do it.
Check the pad anti-rattle clips again. The pads should be snug in the calipers. Its possible the new pads are not the exact same shape as the old ones.

Are lifters a common problem on chevy malibu 3100

That depends on when was the last time the car was serviced and how many miles its done since the last service.

If its a high milage car then having the valves set should clear up the misfire and the lifter tick.

Terrible rear end rattle

It's probably the rear sway bar links. If you can jack your car up and check right behind both rear wheels you will be abale to see the sway bar which is connected to short links about 5in long with ball joints.

If either of them are broken or not connected anymore it can cause some pretty loud noises when you ride on rough roads or hit bumps. They run about $35 per link so it's not a very expensive repair.
