This is an automatic transmission issue which may involve replacing the valve body and solenoid pack and affects transmissions fitted to various Chrylser models. It could also be a symptom of more serious transmission problems and requires proper investigation and diagnosis.
On some models there was a Technical Service Bulletin issued to dealers on this problem .

you can only get the software reinstalled by a chrysler dealer repair shop or disconnect battery for 5 mins the computer will reset the drive it on the highway 1/2 hr.@55mph and 15mins stop and go traffic.the computor will recieve signal from all components and sensors,it's the same as changing coil packs,sensors,fuel injectors
etc.check with scan tool should be good. let me know!
It is on the driver side end of the dashboard(basically touching the inside of the door when the door is closed. Pull outward on the panel and it should pop out.
your nearest dealer needs to "reset" that with a "starscan" they will need both of the keys to verify that they both have good "Signal" and to reprogram them to the vehicle. veh. needs to be present at time of repair.
The input and output speed sensors look identical on the connector side. The one over the solenoid pack is the input, the one closer to the left frame rail or left front wheel is the output sensor. I hope this helps.
