Question about 2007 Toyota Camry

I have 2007 toyota camry se 2.4.i just got about 69000mile on it n my check engine light came on.took it to auto autozone n its say my car was running rich.its still run the same but sometime my rpm keep move up n down like its gonna die on me.i wash my intake box during the summer n i forgot to take mass sensor out.if it get wet well it cause it later not to work unproperly?but some maf sensor cleaner reset it than drive for while than check engine came back on.

Make sure there is no leaks in the air intake hoses, and there is no water/moisture present within the air intake box or hoses. Examine the air filter for clogging and excessive moisture, this may cause the engine to run rich also. Replace the MAP sensor if problem continues.

-Drive to auto Zone auto parts and ask a counter sale person help you to scan to find out " What turn on the check engine Light?"
-Is it some thing that easy to replace or not.
-Mostly this light on is indicator emission problem.

go to autozone or advanced auto they will hook up and do a diagnostic for free and help you with advice and parts-Denny

This can have several causes. I assume you have checked the coolant level, so next, have a mechanic, or Autozone or similar, scan the car to see what the digital trouble code is. These codes are stored in the car's computer when the check engine light comes on, and will steer you, ummm, in the right direction.

My 2007 Toyota Camry just hit 45,000 miles and my check engine light came on. Would regular maintenace needed cause the light to come on? What should I / could I expect when I take it in?

I do believe there is a difference between a maintenance light and a check engine light. You can take your vehicle to most parts suppliers (auto zone, pep boys) and they will check your computer codes for free.

How to erase toyota camry code obd 1

Hello, and welcome to FIxYa.

To erase the check engine light on a 1994 Camry, open the hood, and, in the engine compartment fuse box, remove the blue 15 amp EFI fuse for one minute. This will clear the codes. If you have a hard code; ie a malfunctioning sensor, the light will come right back on.

Take the car to avdance auto parts. They have a scanner they will check it for free.

They will not clear the code for you, but you can borrow the scanner from them. It is really easy to understand.

there is nothing to reset, u need to have the OBD 2 electronic control module (called a PCM) tested for fault/trouble codes, whenever this light is turned on by this module then a fault has occured in the engine, emission or transmission controls, there is seldom if ever a symptom other then the light, Kragen Auto and Autozone will test this for free outside of California, have the system tested for OBD 2 trouble codes.

You can get a free Engine Diagnostic at Autozone or Advanced Auto to get a second opinion on the matter. They will also give you a printout of the codes showing up so you can possibly get the part yourself.
