Front struts: 1 hour per side times your areas labour rate
Rear struts: 1 1/2 hours per side times your areas labour rate.
Add a 4 wheel alignment price after the struts are changed

How do you know if your struts are bad on a toyota camry?

This is quite difficult to judge, because struts normally degrade slowly and you don't notice the change. If you look at a strut and it is leaking oil, it is easy to decide it needs replacing.

The most popular test method is to bounce one corner of the car and try to judge if it is too bouncy. It may help to compare this with a new car. That is only a gross test though, and may deceive.

Another way is to simply replace the struts at one end when they are fairly old, say 50 000 mi at the front (the front struts wear out first).

Need rear shocks for 1996 toyota camry 4cylinder

believe that its a strut. your able to buy what is called a quick strut. it comes with everything you need. your actually able to do it at home without the need of a spring compressor. requires quite of bit of time. recommend going to your local mechanic should take about 1-1.5 hours

Installing wheel hub onto drive shaft and strut.

The strut would not extend. Strut are made to go inside of the coil spring, and held in the compressed position.
If the strut is sticking past the coil spring something has gone wrong. You'll need to compress spring and fix it.

1990 Camry -- Serviceable or non-serviceable struts ?

I use the same model of car with you. It is a non-serviceable part that you use in the replacement of your struts.

Good luck.
