Use a pair of pliers or needle nose. Usually the fuse puller is on the back of the cover you take off to uncover the fuses. Check all covers in all locations of the vehicle where fuses are present to find the fuse puller.

How do i change the fuse for the dash lights on 95' astro?

All you do is pull the old one out and replace. Often on the fuse cover is a small plastic fuse puller. Think of them as plastic pliers. If it is missing, use a regular set of pliers, or needle nose pliers to grab the fuse and pull out. Or your fingers, but sometimes you can't get a good grip due to space limitations.

If you don't know the fuse location, check your owner's manual- it will have a fuse lay-out and descriptions.

Do i need a fuse puller for a 1997 mercury sable wagon?

Most fuses are very difficult to remove by hand from an auto fuse box.

There is usually a plastic fuse puller either clipped to the fuse box cover or on the fuse panel itself (usually the inside fuse panel - if you are trying to pull one from the the fuse panel under the hood and you don't see a puller, look in the fuse box in the interior of you Sable).

If you don't have a fuse puller, try a set of electronics tweezers or standard tweezers. Good luck!

How to disable alarm

Find the alarm's fuse. It may be in the fuse box, usually located below the steering wheel to the left. Many cars also have other fuse boxes (sometimes three or even more) inside the engine compartment. If it's an aftermarket alarm (installed after the car left the factory), you'll find the fuse under the hood, usually on a wire connected to the positive battery terminal.

Locate the fuse that has the alarm label. You should find a fuse diagram on the lid of the fuse box. An aftermarket alarm won't have any label. Don't worry; removing the wrong fuse won't cause any damage. If you pull out a fuse and the alarm stays on, put that fuse back in and try another.

Pull the alarm fuse with the fuse puller (sometimes found in the fuse box) or a pair of needle-nose pliers. Sometimes you can remove a fuse using your fingers.
