Not sure about yours, but I have a ford and the calipers are held in with hex or star bolts.

The caliper bolt is striped and the allen wrench wont loosen it

You can try a larger allen wrench or try switching between standardand metric wrenches. If this does not work younwill have to drill the bolt and use a easy out.

What size allen wrench for brake calipers on 2001 Dodge Dakota 2WD 3.9L and what size is the nut holding the rotor on? Standard or Metric?

a 7 mm hex head wrench for the caliper bolts. the nut that holds the bearings in place is usually a 1 inch or 1 1/16 inch, but a pair of pliers should be enough to take the nut off after the cotter pin is removed. when you put the nut back on DO NOT over tighten it or you will damage the wheel bearings.

What size allen wrench to remove front brake caliper

i just changed my front rotors and pads on my 2001 escape, 6 cylinder. everyone was wrong on the wrench sizes, including the idiots at my local ford dealer. to get the brake calipers off I needed a 7mm hex bit. to get the caliper bracket off I needed an 18mm socket, it was a very easy job but check your wrench sizes first, it seems that every year and model uses different sizes.

Removing calipers from a 1997 T-Bird..

Those bolts should be allen head bolts and NOT torx (star shaped). With a torx bit in that hole all u will do is mess up a torx bit and the flats for the allen wrenches to grab onto. Try using a 10 or 12 mm( cant remeber which it is) allen head wrench.

What wrench do I need to remove front calipers on a 2002 Focus?

A set of wrenches and either a c-clamp or vise grips that look like the c-clamp, and a small block of wood. You'll have to push the brake calliper piston back in.
