1990 buick regal 3.8L- Backfires, stumbles on acceleration

My regal backfires and stumbles on acceleration. It used to be only uphill, but now anytime i accelerate. Any ideas?

Mechanic said fuel pressure was good, I don't know how much is good. Mechanic doesn't know what is wrong with it either, so after 3 months and $600, I told him to give it back.

1990 ford bronco idles fine when you accelerate the gas loses power and backfires through the intake

Fuel delivery problem, not enough fuel on acceleration could cause backfires. Many things cause backfires, mechanical and electronic. I need more info to give a better diagnosis. Did the problem happen all of a sudden or has the vehicle been running crappy for awhile.

Car stumbles, backfires until warm

You need to replace your distributor. There has been many problems with these. I had the same problem with my 1993 villager and had tried many different things and none worked. I went to a junk yard and got a used distributor and now it runs fine. I would try this before anything alse.

Stumbles and backfires on acceleration

Check the distributor shaft. They have a history of developing finite cracks that causes the condition your describing. Let me know if I can help you with any other info.
