Hello, my name is Ben. This can be a bit tricky, but it is do-able. You will need to buy the fuel line quick disconnect tool from a parts store. The filter is on the driver's side above the muffler beside the transmission. First unbolt the filter and then dis connect the fuel lines, install the new filter reversing the steps.

If it starts with gas down carb, then pump, pump relay, is faulty, or plugged fuel filter. Or carb floats sticking.

try running the vehicle without the feul cap and see if it quites or keeps running.
