95 caprice classic starts runs good then the doors lock and it shuts off and you wait five min and it will do it all over again. ive checked all the fuses and replaced the alternator the fuel pump fuel filter. when it does start if you touch the gas at all it will die right away

Try touching the positive and the negative battery cables together and then hooking them back on battery then this is important 1-- unlock with key (if not locked lock it then unlock all doors with key leave doors open and put key in try to start leave in the on position for ten mins until light stops blinking then try starting it again if it don't start then leave key in on position wait ten more mins and start truck as always hope this helps good luck

The most common causes are the brake switch or the shift lock solenoid.

Are you loosing spark to the plugs or fuel pressure ?

can a man run as fast and as far at 40 as he can at 19? the engine is tired man. the only good way to replace the power is to replace the engine.

possible ignition coil pack breaking down...unit cools off them fires plugs again...fuel pressure is a concern also ..possible failing fuel pump

WELL I HAD THE SAME PROB. ON A 95 CHEVY CAPRICE.I REMOVED THE IGNITION AND THE WIRE WAS BROKE.WHEN U TURN THE KEY THE PASS KEY WIRE TURNS WITH THE IGNITION,WHAT A FAULTY DESIGN.ANY HOW BUY A NEW IGNITION AND KEY THAT SHOULD SOLVE THE PROB. GOOD LUCK
