Where is the Audi A4, 2006 Multitronic (CVT) Transmission Control Module (Computer Board) or Valve Body located? Thanks!

I went google and came up with the following recommended oil

description
this malfunction is detected when the torque converter clutch does not lock-up as instructed by the tcm. this is not only caused by electrical malfunction (circuits open or shorted), but also by mechanical malfunction such as control valve sticking, improper solenoid valve operation, etc.

if "dtc confirmation procedure" has been previously performed, always turn ignition switch off.
then wait at least 10 seconds before performing the next test.
1.check dtc detection
with consult-iii

1. turn ignition switch on.
2. select "data monitor".
3. start engine and maintain the following condition for at least 30 seconds.

with gst
follow the procedure "with consult-iii".
is "p0744" detected?
yes - go to see: cvt re0f10a.
no - check intermittent incident. refer to see: testing and inspection\initial inspection and diagnostic overview\intermittent incident.

diagnosis procedure
1.check line pressure
perform line pressure test. refer to see: transmission and drivetrain\continuously variable transmission/transaxle\testing and inspection\initial inspection and diagnostic overview\cvt re0f10a.
is the inspection result normal?
yes - go to 2.
no - repair or replace damaged parts.
2.check torque converter clutch solenoid valve

1. turn ignition switch off.
2. disconnect cvt unit connector.
3. check torque converter clutch solenoid valve. refer to see: cvt re0f10a. is the inspection result normal?

yes - go to 3.
no - repair or replace damaged parts.
3.check lock-up select solenoid valve
check lock-up select solenoid valve. refer to see: cvt re0f10a.
is the inspection result normal?
yes - go to 4.
no - replace transaxle assembly. refer to see: transmission and drivetrain\continuously variable transmission/transaxle\service and repair\removal and replacement\cvt re0f10a\transaxle assembly\exploded view.
4.check secondary speed sensor system
check secondary speed sensor system. refer to see: p0720\cvt re0f10a.
is the inspection result normal?
yes - go to 5.
no - repair or replace damaged parts.
5.check primary speed sensor system
check primary speed sensor system. refer to see: p0715\cvt re0f10a.
is the inspection result normal?
yes - go to 6.
no - repair or replace damaged parts.
6.detect malfunctioning items
check tcm connector pin terminals for damage or loose connection with harness connector.
is the inspection result normal?

no - repair or replace damaged parts.

SOUND LIKE TRANSMISSION SLIPPING. CHECK TRANSMISSION FLUID LEVEL.IF FLUID LEVEL OKAY BUT FLUID LOOKS DARK SMELL BURNT.CHANGE TRANSMISSION FLUID AND FILTER ADD SOME VALVE BODY TREATMENT TO LOOSEN STICKEN SHIFT VALVES.ADD TO TRANSMISSION FLUID DONT OVER FILL TRANSMISSION WILL CAUSE OVERHEAT. IF TRANSMISSION FLUID GOOD FILTER ALREADY BEEN CHANGED.IF ALL GOOD ENGINE BEEN TUNED UP OTHER POSSIBLE CAUSES FOR TRANSMISSION SLIPPING NOT GOING TO OVER DRIVE COULD BE THROTTLE SHIFT CABLE OUT ADJUSTMENT OR STRETCHED. TORQUE CONVERTER FAULTY OR SHIFT VALVES TO TORQUE CONVERTER OR OVER DRIVE STUCK IN VALVE BODY. VALVE BODY FAULTY. AND HAVE VECHICLE SCANNED FOR FAULTY VECHICLE SPEED SENSOR OR FAULTY THROTTLE CONTROL MODULE OR FAULTY THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR. THEY WILL EFFECT TRANSMISSION SHIFT TO OVER DRIVE IF FAULTY.

These cars are very complex and it's not easy to diagnose. You should take it to a qualified technician with the proper electronic disagonstic tools to verify the problem. Start off with a full scan. It may be a simple as a software upgrade or as complex as the tranny needing repair. I wouldn't drive the car hard and get this resolved asap.

you cant check the Transmisson oil by yourself it is located under the vehicle. you will need a hoist to lift it up and then go by the transmission and check it there.

The vehicle would seem to lose power as the transmission has gone into 'safe mode' and the transmission control module has detected a fault in the transmission hence the flashing gear display. you need to get someone in a dealer or someone that has the technology to plug into the car and find out what the problem in the trans is. hope this helps.

I have owned various audi's over my lifetime and have always loved the quality and drive that they offer but when i bought my first auto which was multitronic i had nothing but big problems! costly problems which ended in a replacement gearbox and surfing the internet has brought to my attention that i aint the only one!

Transmission control module ($1000) Valve Body ($1200) Clutch Discs ($1500) or the Housing/ variable disc unit - whole transmission ($3000).... get an extended warranty PLEASE! a good mechanic can pull the codes and tell you what work should be performed. These transmissions ****. Next time QUATTRO ! 

I don't understand you problem, I have a 2007 maxima with CVT transmission, THERE ARE NO GEARS ! WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? CVT = constant velocity transmission. It's like driving a golf cart.
