Lawn mower / could not find a product on lawn mower, but a car mechanic can tell me.

I have a yardman 18 HP briggs and stratton riding lawn mower?Can't find the serial number or engine number anywhere on the engine.
I have a yardman 18 HP briggs and stratton riding lawn mower and all the wires have been pulled off of it where there is no wires but the two short wires that are running together that are black and red on one side of the engine and a blue
wire on the other side of the engine. and the ground and positve wires that is coming from the battery to the solenoid.
I bought a new toggle switch and a new push button starter switch and a new solenoid, and battery. could someone please tell me how to just wire the motor just to get it running with the equipment that is mentioned above. thanking you in advance. My E-Mail is [email protected]

set to inlet .010" hot and exhaust .012" hot
initially set both an extra .002" cold to get it running

I have a petrol golf cart wont start

Brian, If engine is of overhead valve type and engine turns over with plug out and will not crank when plug in or turns very slow, the problem is probable valve adjustment required or decompression release faulty on cam shaft. Check the attached links,instruction and guides, Good luck

Spark plug gap

Hi Carl:
Make, model, engine, plug you're using, all info would help
Stores like Canadian tire that sell plugs usually have a chart telling what plug and gap are appropriate for what application.
If it's a 2 hp 1950 6 hp Briggs & Stratton, try 35 thou.

I have a 18hp b&s inteck that want idle the govenor goes back and forth

I believe the condition your describing is called "hunting" this sometimes happens when engine has a problem with it's air/fuel mix usually due to a carb problem
id start by cleaning out the fuel tank and filters and then moving on to the carb

Can't slow down throttle on lawn mower, don't see one.

here is the main web site you will need to look at. notice the model numbers to the far left in the list. after those numbers is your type number (you will need to locate this on your engine) which you need to get the right drawing. Let me know if this helps. Thanks.
