Switch is busted and sending multiple currents to the resistor. Replace switch.

Hi can't get a heater fan resistor for my 1996 laguna without air con any sujestions would be welcome

I am not too familiar with your mode of vehicle but I had the same problem and what I did was remove the old resistor and on it is a temperature fuse that will blow under high heat. These are usually soldered in so you need to melt the old solder to remove the old one. Clean the contact points and while soldering the new one in you will need to use heat sinks so the new fuse doesn't blow while you are soldering it in.

2002 nissan primera p12 blower fan for heater will not turn off nissan troubleshooting

Its either the switch , the relay, resistor , wire or blower that is shorted out. Remove the switch from the circuit if it stops the blower it was the culprit. If not move onto the relay then resistor, check circuit for shorts. Remember the blower itself could be the culprit. The name of the game here is to keep removing the items listed until the fan stops. Whatever item removed stops it has the short. If you have removed all items and fan still blows , remove fan from circuit and check it separately. Hope this helps you.

Fan heater stops working from time to time

The resistor card may be defective. Does it blow any speed? If it only works on high speed it's probably the resistor card. If the fan is intermittent, it may be either the fan switch or the blower fan.

Replace the blower fan resistor located under passenger side of dash near center console. Updated part has larger heat sink to repair previous problem.

2002 Nissan Altima - Heat doesn't get hot and doors get stuck

Did the switch break because it was stuck? If so, then yes, they will have to change actuators and doors. Does the fan work on all speed setting? If so then you do not need a blower resistor. The resistor pack only controls the current flow to change speeds of the fan.

Primera 2002 p12 model. heater fan stopped working, checked fuses, there ok .Wondering what else to check. Fan works on auto or manual through on screen display, hope its not the computer

need more information on vehicle, my advice is to check blower motor resistor located under glove box area held by two screws into blower housing ( has about 5 wires to it ) check it for burned marks, smell, melting, or accessibly hot to the touch.
