It's best to check all the fuses and the camera lens for covered with dirt, then follow the wire as it can get pinched near the rear door hinge and then the display can go out too. A true code scanner ( not a code reader ) can look at the body control computer and disnose this problem futher. The back door trim covers the camera and the wires are routed thought the hinge area of the rear door, the control unit is in the right rear under the trim panel and if it got wet it's though. Both of these parts are bank breakers. I recomend a dealer mechanic and ask for an estimate ... you may break good parts and or install parts that don't fix the problem oth could make you upset.. the dealers estimate could make you upset too.

How to Reverse the Image on Backup Camera eHow

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT REAR VIEW CAMERAS

After installing a backup camera on your vehicle, you need to reverse the image so that the image on the screen matches that of your rear-view mirror. The orientation must match so that the driver doesn't get confused with two conflicting images. The nature of the camera's technology is that its image will be recorded un-reflected, but the mirror will display a reflected image. Fortunately, the engineers who designed back-up cameras thought of this and created simple controls for you to change the orientation.

Hi I have a 07 yukon denali xl the reverse camera just stopped working one day it was never hit or recently worked on it dont switch from radio to camera at all when I put car in reverse it just stays on...

hate to be funny but turn your head around like most people to look out the back window. as for codes I don't see why it would give a code. the dealer should know what is wrong I am guessing your not the first person to have this problem. either the camera is not working or the switch to go into reverse could be an issue.

Why porsche cayenne 2009 reverse camera cover is not opening

Is the camera activating? Is the screen going completely black or do you see the measurement marks on the screen when putting it in reverse? Might be a blown fuse, faulty power wire to the camera or simply that the cover is physically stuck by dirt or something.
