I have a pontiac montana 2000 and the vehicle runs well until I had to make a repair witch involved me having to disconnect a cable from on top of the transmission to make my repair. I reconnected every thing and when i turned the vehicle on the "service engine light came on, I went to autozone and they read the codes p0753, p0758 and p1860. 2 mechanics told me i need a brand new transmission (bull!@#$) well my question is, where exactly is the TCC PWM solenoid located at? in the transmission or out side?

You may be able to delete those codes. What repair required you to disconnect the cable? What changed? Is the transmission functioning. The solenoid is inside the pan on the valve body and controls Torque converter lockup. Did you disturb the wires while changing the trans. filter?

SOURCE: 2002 Sunfire TCC Solenoid replacement

hi..the transaxle converter clutch . tcc. uses a solenoid -operated valve located in the automatic transaxle to mechanically couple the engine flywheel to the output shaft of the transmission through the torque converter.that reduces the slippage loss in the converter.reducing emissions.but check the vss first.which is called the vehicle speed sensor.they both work together .if the vss is not working right it wont call on the tcc.
check this out..
thank u..

SOURCE: I recently had a diagnostics done on my 2000 Isuzu

If it is in the solenoid itself, yes. If it is in the wiring or the computer, no. The only way to tell, is to replace the solenoid and turn off the light. Or do some extensive search in the wiring harness.

2000 Pontiac Montana not starting

Disconnect one of the battery cables for 5 min. Reattach it and tighten manually. This resets the ECM and possibly will allow starting. Disconnect a plug wire and get someone into the drivers seat and attempt to start. Hold plug wire close to spark plug and see if there's a spark. If no spark, either the battery is bad or COIL.

2000 pontaic montana wont spark

likely a bad crank sensor or bad ignition module, coil packs can go bad
to but not normally all three at the same time.if the coil packs look ok
then i would look at what tell it to fire witch is the crank sensor, the cam sensor should tell the injectors when to fire, but thats not to say they couldn't be linked in some vehicles needing singal from both for fuel
and fire to work. hope this helps
