I got my sensor replace in my 2004 Acura TL and they forgot to reset the check engine light, how do I do that?

no info generic answer if directional move lever off if hazards push button off if check engine have scanned for trouble code

Did you clear the code after replacing the assembly?

did the assembly have the solenoid and oil pressure switch?

have you had the oil changed recently?

have you checked the oil level?

To reset check engine light... Disconnect the ground (black wire) from the battery. Wait for at least a minute for the computer to reset, then reconnect the ground. Start your car, and the light should not come back on.

Somehow it is effecting the TPS (Throttle position sensor) This is the only input to go to third to fouth and not seeing the proper gear change VSA light appears.

Always, if the check engine light is on, get it scanned first to see what error the computer has found, and go from there.

Your car has what is known as a obd2 system . The computer picks up on various sensors that determine what fuel and spark is doing. You can go to auto zone to pull out the codes to see what sensor is attacking up, They wont turn off the light but they have a computer that you can purchase that will turn off the check engine light.

9 times out of 10 it is a faulty sensor. if you have the 4 cylinder engine, v-tech? it will be located on the back of the block next to the oil filter. if you have the V6 it will be under the intake manifold.you can test the knock sensor with a dvm. set your mter on continuity, hook your leeds to the single pin conector and the side of the sensor, you should have a resistance reading.now lightly tap on the side of the sensor with a small screw driver. if the resistance changes the sensor is good

i dont know how else to do it other than with a diagnostic tester. i think that may be the only way.
