Open the hood and remove the electrical plug from the back of the fog light ballast below the headlight assembly.

Turn the fog lamp counterclockwise to unlock it from the fog light housing.

Insert the new fog lamp. Align the notches on the fog lamp housing with the tabs on the new bulb and turn the bulb clockwise to lock it into the housing.

Reconnect the fog lamp electrical plug.

Depending on the type of bulb you may need to rotate the bulb one way or the other or you may need to adjust the mounting bracket. good luck and remember to rate all the solutions you get, thanx.

Fog lamp will not come on 2001 ford explorer

Fog lights normally have their own relay, which is usually in a black box under the hood mounted on or near the wheel well. Take the top off and there is a diagram glued in that shows which relay does what. Find a relay that's the same in the box and plug it into the fog light location. If the lights work replace the relay. Also check your fuse box for your lights. If the lights still do not function you may have to replace the switch.

98 explorer fog light always on

reference your owners manual for relay location, if you do not have one you can download it at www.fleet.ford.com , the relay for the fog lights should be under hood in power distribution box, ford relay are notorious for hanging up in closed and open positions, pull the relay and see if the lights go out? if so replace relay, try the same for interior lights, that relay should be inside in the fuse box. hope this helps, let me know

2001 Ford explorer sport fog lamps are not working. I just bought 2 brand new ones and they worked for two days then both went out at the same time. Also the button on the interior does not illuminate...

The light on your interior button should only come on when the lights are on, so I wouldn't worry about that until the lights are fixed. There should be a relay for your fog lights. I would check your underhood fuse relay box. switch that relay with another, such as fuel pump. I lights come on and now vehicle won't start, you know that it is the relay you have now put in your fuel pump circuit from your fog lamp circuit.
