The lights of my equinox are turning every time i started the car even at day time

These are daytime running lights. They run at lower voltage than your "nightime" lights, but use the same bulb.

I personally find them annoying.

More than likely your car was built in Canada where they are mandatory. In US they are not.

You can disable them by removing the relay (under hood) that says "DRL" . Look at fuse diagram in owner manual or under fuse cap.

check all fuse and relays, check the trac and brake sensor, located in the engine compartment, get a scan tool and check for error code.

Burnt smell after starting 2013 Chevrolet Equinox. Turned key starter turned over slowly then started drove car however strong electrical burning smell after starting pulled over seen smoke coming from under vehicle. Starter will not turn over on a 2006 chev equinox. interior lights come on but starter will not turn over. will not even make click, engine light will come on thats it . Dealer suggests boosing it first to...
I had the same problem on an 08 Equinox. After jumping the battery, recharging, checking all fuses and swaping some of them, I returned to it and it started like if nothing had been wrong. Then I realized that I used a different Key and remote.
I remote locked it and used the first remote and key again and the problem came back. I went back and forth a couple of times and recreated the problem. PROBLEM was my regular key lost its program. I reprogrammed the remote and key and lived happily ever after. good luck.

Chevy 2005 Equinox, day time running light when out, are they controlled by a fuse?
The Daytime running lights are controlled by a relay under the hood that says "DRL"

I would just pull the relay and not worry about it. daytime running lights are just an annoyance.

My 2005 equinox randomly wont start. it just continues to turn over. i try a few more time and then it starts and runs fine for a couple days.
Common problem with the Equinox with varying degrees of ocaisional poor starting.. There was a recall and TSB on some Vin numbers for a bad computer, and also some that needed the computer software reflashed.

2006 Chevy Equinox - Service Lamp Reset
Turn the ignition to run. Within three seconds push the gas pedal to the floor three times. Turn the key to off, and then start the car. The light should flash three times signifying that it reset. If it does not, try repeating the process, but instead of turning it to off after stepping on the pedal, just start the car.

Dash light do not come on but lights do for drl on 2005 chev equinox
DRL (Daytime Running Lights) will come on any time you start your car.
The dash lights do not come on, unless your headlights turn on. Either by a daylight sensor or if you manually turn them on by the switch.
So even though your headlights are on with the DRL, if you notice the tail lights do not come on (just like the dash lights don't).

To test if your dash lights do work, turn your headlight switch on. You should the the tail lights and dash lights come on.
