My air conditioner/heater blower will not work on the 4th setting. Setting 1,2, and 3 do work. I have replaced fan speed switch and replaced the resistor. Any ideas?

You'll have to find the correct wiring diagram in order to trace down the fault in your system.. Once you obtain the wiring diagram you'll be able to see what else beside wire is between the #4 speed setting and the blower motor. My guess is you might find a high speed fan relay is triggered from the #4 fan switch setting, applying full battery voltage to the blower motor. If locating the appropriate diagram proves to be difficult you can try looking around the underhood and passenger compartment fuse panel to find a relay. Keep in mind not all relays are always in fuse boxes which makes the diagram important.

Heater / air conditioner fan control doesn't engage fan. Previously, it only worked in high speed.

I would replace the blower motor resistor first then see if that corrects this. The resistor is located next to the blower motor under the dash.

The heater/air conditioner blower only works on high speed if I try to lower the fan speed setting it turns off.

Most likely cause (common failure) is the blower motor resistor. On most caravans it is right behind the glove box with two 8mm head screws holding it in place

Problems with the air conditioner fan of Cutlasss Supreme SL '94

Sounds like you have either a bad fan connection or you need to replace the fan motor itself.

Check all the wiring leading to the fan, and the fan controller.

Air conditioner/heater only works on number 3 on setting

It could be the switch or the blower resistor has gone bad. You can check the wire leads to the blower resistor for any power problems which would indicate a speed switch issue. If all the speed setting has good power at the wire leads to the resistor, then it's gone to be a bad blower resistor and you can pick on up at Auto Zone and there will have the step by step instructions to getting the job done with common tools. Good luck and keep me posted, be glad to help you get your trailblazer running 100%

Nissan sentra 1998 air conditioner problem

The problem is most likely one of the following:-

1) Open circuit blower motor series dropping resistor - this resistor module is usually located in the blower motor ducting in the air flow.

2) Faulty fan speed control switch, or poor connection in the associated wiring.

Don't know cost of these items.

Fan works on Full Setting ONLY. 98 pathfinder

there is a ballast resistor that should be next to the blower motor that controls the low speeds on the blower. change it and you should be all set.

2002 Nissan Altima - Heat doesn't get hot and doors get stuck

Did the switch break because it was stuck? If so, then yes, they will have to change actuators and doors. Does the fan work on all speed setting? If so then you do not need a blower resistor. The resistor pack only controls the current flow to change speeds of the fan.
