The oil filter is on the passenger side underneath the air filter, if there is anything else you need help with feel free to ask
Give me 2 minutes, i will find you a complete diagram
tools needed: 4mm allen key, 10mm allen key (sk makes one for the 3/8s ratchet), car jack, jack stand recommended, oil filter hengst recommended, catch pan for old oil, phillips head screwdriver (long one), oil 10w40 i like royal purple.
step 1: open hood and unscrew the two screws connecting the air mass meter to the air box top.
step 2: unscrew the top of the airbox from the bottom. remove airbox top and air filter and put shop towel in the hole on the bottom of the airbox to avoid dirt from falling in. note: these screws do not come out all the way.
step 3: locate and unscrew the two screws holding the bottom of the airbox in place (4mm allen key for the bottom). one is on the left (passenger side) of the air box and the other is on the rear(side closet to firewall). Note: DO NOT PULL ON THE AIR BOX ITS NOT FULLY DISCONNECTED.
step 4: jack the car up. on the left side (passenger) in front of the front tire there is a hose. squeeze the clamp together and remove the hose the air box will now lift right out.
step 5: the oil pan is right in front of the car if you have a splash guard you have to remove it to see the oil pan. use the 10mm allen key to open the screw.
step 6: when the oil is finished draining from the pan move the heat shield back in the space where the airbox was and unscrew the oil filter cap. remove the old oil filter and let the housing drain out. i couldnt get all the old oil out. replace old filter with new filter and change housing gasket on cap. gasket is included with filter kit.
Step 7: replace washer around the drain plug, washer is also included in kit. plug the oil pan up and assemble the airbox following steps 4 thru 1. now would be a good time to replace air filter if you need to.
Step 8: lower the car and add 7qts. let the car run for 2-3 mins and check oil level. add 8th qt as needed.
I hope this helps. changing the oil on your audi is a time consuming experience, its not like the good old days
I apologize, for taking so long, was wanting my answer to be as accurate as possible.
