I posted a question yesterday and received two responses. One didn't answer my question and the other answer has been disputed by an auto parts distributor. I have a 1988 Mitsubishi Mighty Max 2.0 with a bad AC and a bad AC belt tensioner. Can I bypass the AC and remove the tensioner so that a replacement belt serves only the fan and alternator? It seems to be a question that eludes a definitive answer. If it CANNOT be bypassed I would like to know why not.

I have checked with a friend in Kenya and if you need to, you can make up an adjusting bracket for the alternator(for belt adjustment)
and remove the ac.NO PROBLEM.as when they go wrong they also take them off, when fitted. hey guys, this is a world market, its not just the good old U.S.A.that has electricity.......mind you, only 2/3rds does.....

Hey the answer is: YES! If the AC is dead and you don't want to it loading down the 2.0 engine. Remove the old belt and tensioner and AC unit too if you like.
Then go to any Autozone and BUY a "Valuecraft drive belt # 15380 for $5.00 or a Duralast belt # 15380 for $10.00... Route it around the Crank Shaft pully, to the Water pump pully and the Alternator pully adjust the belt tension at the Alternator set screw.& bolt Works Great... HAPPY MIGHTY MAX DAY!

My part is bottom cap they say is discontinued looking for solution

Is this for the Yamata steamer that I answered yesterday? Making a follow-up as a new post on Fixya doesn't work because this post has no context to any previous ones especially as the last one was posted as Anonymous. If you were replying to my answer, the way to do it is click COMMENT under my answer. That way we get a notification and come back to help.

Amazon is the place to buy these discontinued parts.

I have 07 sorento. Co eng light comes on and has no throttle response but still idles. Shut it off and start it back up and runs fine. Co engine light still on and does it every so often.

Take it to a auto parts store and get the codes pulled for free. Have a pen and paper and write the codes down then post them on here. Do Not buy your sensor at the auto parts store. Those cheap sensirs dont last if they work at all. Get a oem sensor from the dealer and do the job once and correctly.

What is a fuel relay on a 2006 suzuki forenza?

was answered yesterday and many times before.
search. yet?
its in the fuse box.

why not do diagnosis, and not guess, i see many posts. all wild guessing.?
one says no spark, the EFI system cuts fuel when the PCM sees
no spark to engine dont catch fire. or hyrdal-ockup and bend rods.

spark, is first. do post that all cyinders have no spark
1 or all cylinders.????? lost spark?
and if you are failing to use a scan tool.
if all cylinders of unstated engine (there are 4 engines)
then you must scan it , sorry, but cant fix cars with no scan tool
it not going to happen, (unless guessing parts wildly works, like a 10% chance there? or 0? if its not a part)
what is a non part failure, sure, a bad connection.

do answer this one simple question above. please.
and try to stick on one post (add to it) for 100% better answers.
(this holds the context of the issues)

My Infiniti FX45 had been stored for 4 months after I received a jump yesterday to get it started. It started. Now, today it will not start. My battery is practically new. What could be the problem?

swing by your local auto parts store for a free load test on the battery, and charging system too

in my area, autozone and advance auto parts does this free service in the parking lot

they'll show you the voltage readings and let you know if your charging system is keeping the battery charged

or if you have a bad cell on that brand new battery (which you can exchange under warranty from the place you bought it from)

your post is 5 months old, i bet by now you have taken it in and got it fixed or at least found out what the fault goes to.

then with that ,you can try to post and see if you get a faster response. example p0103 mass air flow low voltage. this is how todays industrey diagnoses your problem and goes right to the trouble part.happiness is no check engine light
